Palpatine also known as Darth Sidious was the Senator of Naboo and the longest serving Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic his two terms extended due to the Clone Wars to twelve years. He was a Dark Lord of the Sith who initially followed the Rule of Two until after the death of his first apprentice Darth Maxah.
