[edit] Publisher's summary

To be united by hatred is a fragile alliance at best.

It is a time of turmoil for the Galactic Republic. The forces of the Dark Lord Revan's Sith Empire have been routed, ending the seemingly endless war against the Sith and the Mandalorians, but Darth Malak's brutal war of conquest has left the Jedi all but extinct. The Galactic Republic hinges on the brink of collapse, and the redeemed Jedi Revan has fled the known galaxy, ending any hopes of him rebuilding the Order.

Unknown to the galaxy, another Sith threat lies in the shadows, one that did not participate in the war. Unlike the Sith of Darth Malak, these Sith do not plan to destroy not the Republic, but seek personal revenge against the Jedi and destroy all life.

During the Mandalorian Wars, the most powerful of these Dark Lords sacrificed his entire being to the dark side, and only his spirit remains. In order to preserve his dark legacy, he has been training an apprentice to carry on his goal.

Heir to the Sith starts where the popular role-playing game Knights of the Old Republic left off, and goes right into the events of its sequel, The Sith Lords. This is the perfect novel for any fan of the Old Republic series, and starts a three-book trilogy focusing on the life of Darth Haagen.
