Dark Age

The Dark Age was a 316 year period in Galactic history. It began with the conclusion of the Zao tenj War and was marked by some of the worst wars ever, including the Dark Wars between the Exlus Republic, the Third Republic, the True Republic, the Sith, and many pirate groups. The Dark Age was marked by some of the worst atrocities, such as the Battle of Aworia.
After the Dark Wars ended, only one other war was fought in this era. This is probably because the Galaxy was too busy repairing to fight again.

The Dark Wars were marked by stagnation of Galactic culture. Many of those who made the culture of previous eras were forced to fight in the near-endless wars of the era.
