DX-245, often referred to simply as DX, was a modified unit of a B2 super battle droid given an enhanced processor, allowing fully autonomous operation, alongside a vastly superior arsenal of weapons compared to a regular B2. DX was commissoned by Dylan Antiunknown to be used by The Brotherhood, and had his processor synced with Praxon's brain with experimental technology in order to force Praxon's mind to obey Dylan's commands. However, both of them ultimately defected to Antimatter Squadron, dedicating themselves to destroying the Brotherhood. The duo became critical to Antimatter Squadron all the way through the Battle of Anarto II. DX-245 was destroyed on the Brotherhood HQ immediately after entering the Brotherood's servers and computing all the information it held by a reactor overload that destroyed most of the station.

DX-245 was outfitted with a highly advanced processor allowing the droid to operate fully autonomously, and had to be given a restraining bolt to ensure his loyalty to the Brotherhood. Additionally, both of his wrist blasters were significantly augmented; its left arm could function as a rotary blaster or small missile launcher, while the right could be used as a sniper rifle. DX also had a jetpack fitted, and had significantly stronger armor than the average B2 droid.
DX-245's processor was also compatible with the DX neural interface, allowing him to sync with an organic user's mind.

Production[]
DX-245 was created by Lospeg, a Brotherhood agent who worked within the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He was given to Dylan Antiunknown on Hoth as the first in a line of droids that would be used as Brotherhood assassins. At the time of being given to Dylan, DX-245 had a restraining bolt on him in order to ensure his loyalty to his designated masters.
Operation Supernova[]
Immediately upon activation, Dylan ordered DX-245 to eliminate Cade Slarwalker, specifically without using any weapons. The fight was incredibly one-sided, but Asura Tyuki sliced into the droid and made it return to Dylan, just in time to save Cade and give a desperate plea for help.
DX was then assigned to Antimatter Squadron under the command of Taran Ragnan. He was a crucial part of Operation Supernova, where Asura was granted control of him in order to assassinate Dani Morrow. When Praxon cornered her but refused to kill her, Asura stepped in and made DX kill her in order to prevent Praxon from being killed for betraying the Brotherhood.
While Asura indeed saved his life, Praxon did not escape punishment. In order to ensure his loyalty, Taran and Cyana Bastra inserted a cybernetic eye into Praxon's missing eye socket. The eye was synced to the DX Neural Interface, and by syncing Praxon's and DX's consciousnesses the two hoped that he could control Praxon. Initially, this was true, but when Hans Novastar and Cade attacked the Reverence, Praxon ultimately managed to overcome his control long enough to save Asura's life, taking a shot from DX meant for her. Antimatter Squadron was able to remove DX's restraining bolt, and he ultimately become a permanent member of the team, alongside Praxon and Asura. He spent the next six years with the rest of the team, following leads on where the Brotherhood had disappeared to.
Resurgence Conflict[]
In 13 BBY, on Manaan, DX-245 and the rest of Antimatter Squadron were saved from a Brotherhood base's self-destruct sequence by a mysterious contact. The contact wanted the team's help in acquiring information that would be mutually beneficial to them, and ultimately Hans agreed to help them.
The mission led to Quesh, where the team uncovered Sen Qorbin, barely alive and held in stasis. They also met Yula Ardinn there, who revealed that she had been working with their contact, revealed to be Ranulph, to fulfill a vision Ganner Slarwalker had seen in two heroes would do battle with a great enemy. Their discovery also alerted the Inquisitor Decien to their presence, and led him to begin tracking the team. They took Qorbin back to the Fortune Destroyer, and Hans instructed DX-245 to monitor Qorbin and tell him if he learned any important information.
Antimatter Squadron, now accompanied by Yula, then returned to Carlac to ensure that Ganner was dead, and that his journals had been untouched. They set course for Dathomir, but unbeknownst to them, Decien was monitoring and would find Ganner's body and journals before following them to their next destination.
On Dathomir, Antimatter Squadron stayed onboard the Fortune Destroyer while Yula set out to speak to the Nightsisters. While they waited, Decien appeared over the planet with a small Imperial armada, forcing the Fortune Destroyer to take flight and battle for time until finally being shot down. Everyone onboard survived, and the ship was captured and taken to Imperial Facility 406-P.
DX-245 was able to hide on the ship and release the prisoners, who attempted to escape. They were caught by Decien, who performed the Binding on Ganner Slarwalker. However, this plan backfired as Ganner immediately attacked Decien, allowing Antimatter Squadron to escape to the Fortune Destroyer. Shortly after, Antimatter Squadron visited Dantooine to recruit Galen Slarwalker. Separated from Ganner, and hunted by the Empire, the group made their way to Nar Shaddaa.
The team met with Nova the Hutt in the ruins of Goma the Hutt's palace, where the Nebula Corporation hid out. The team, bringing information of the whereabouts of the Brotherhood, negotiated with the Hutt herself and Esvald Raile to secure help in attacking it, but were ultimately incarcerated. Cade and Hans managed to break the team free just as the Empire caught up to them and began to attack the palace. In the escape, the team encountered their captors again, and cut a quick deal with them: in exchange for helping the team destroy the Brotherhood base on Anarto II, they would surrender Praxon and instead have him serve under the Nebula Corporation. With no options, all parties agreed.
Destruction[]
During the Battle of Anarto II, DX was assigned the task of slicing into the Brotherhood HQ's data center and accessing and downloading their entire information network. He also served as Praxon's eyes and ears, due to Praxon being left onboard Nova's ship. Even without Praxon, DX was practically unstoppable against the Brotherhood forces, and managed to fight his way to the server easily, escorted by Ranulph, Qorbin, and some mercenaries from the Nebula Corporation. However, the Brotherhood forces seemed to continue coming without end, and when Nova ordered her forces to retreat, DX, Qorbin, and Ranulph began to lose the advantage. At the same time, Esvald betrayed Nova and Praxon, gloating about the Brotherhood's victory, as DX calculated Praxon's odds of survival to be nominal.
At last, DX finished downloading the Brotherhood data and quickly processed it. However, the discovery of Dylan's identity as Darth Paradus caused DX to stutter as it was such a large piece of information to suddenly learn. The stutter affected Praxon too, cutting him off from trying to escape and giving Esvald a clear opening to kill him. DX, recovering from processing Paradus's identity, tried to meet up with Ranulph and Qorbin in an elevator escape, but the elevator was disabled by a stray shot, and moments later, the Brotherhood HQ's superlaser, strained from the power required to fire twice in a short timespawn, overloaded, destroying the bottom half of the station, instantly disintegrating them.
Personality and traits[]
DX was a rather emotionless droid, with a distinct sense of duty and purpose. Though his advanced processor allowed for him to develop a personality, DX was very militant, and in fact ended up rubbing off on Praxon instead. The only time DX showed real emotion was panicking just before his and Praxon's deaths.
