The DL-5 blaster pistol was a refined version of the venerable DL-3 model, manufactured by the Aratech Repulsor Company for use by the Republic Military. Incorporating Mandalorian designs, it was more efficient and possessed longer range than its predecessor, however it was more expensive to produce. Because of this, the DL-5 only saw limited use in the Republic's special forces.
