The Coup of Dromund Kaas was a violent uprising on Dromund Kaas by the Sith Sorcerer Cluj and his followers against the pro-Republic monarchy. It was successful for the Sith, and the Crimson Empire, the first Sith Empire, was founded. During the Coup, many townsfolk were killed by Cluj and his followers, who then stormed the palace, overwhelming the King's guards. Later, Cluj hired native Barbarians to fight for them.
