Dooku also known by his Sith name or Darth Tyranus, was a Count of Serenno and began life as a Jedi, he left the Jedi Order after the death of his former apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn and became the leader of the Confederacy of Independant Systems. Dooku turned to the dark side of the Force and became the apprentice of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, taking on the name of Tyranus.
