Most just fight because they were given orders to do so. Me? Yeah, i can do better then that.
—Riker

Corporal CT-7563, or more commonly referred to as Riker, is the second-in command of Metal Squad, a squad of Clone Trooper veterans from the Clone Wars, who still serve in active military duty. Riker, as the squad's second-in command, is charged with keeping the unit together and loyal while both the squad leader is gone and present. His nickname comes from a famous Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Rik'ara, whom Riker admired through the course of his training and thoroughly studied his history and even read of his combat tactics. As such, Riker does tend to fight in a different style then most other Clone Troopers, particularly in close quarters. Even his squadmates are not entirely sure how he managed to so easily adapt the tricks and skills of a long-dead bounty hunter, but no one can deny that they come in handy whenever they are in combat.

In 6 ABY, Metal Squad had been assigned to Corruscant while off duty, and the squad took its time off in the vast city. Riker in particular. It was then that he met Lira Jayn, the woman he would soon come to marry not long after they met. After the marriage, Riker decided himself to adopt the surname Jayn. So he is often referred to as Corporal Jayn by fellow military officers.

Service in Galactic Federation Special Forces has changed Riker's life in many ways. Unlike before, his squad is prioritized for all the latest hardware and gear updates, which was at first a little overwhelming for the veteran Clone who had been used to running around with limited supplies. Secondly, Riker was actually offered a place as squad leader, the Federation having recognized his skills as a potent leader. Riker refused the offer however, stating he would not leave his brother Clones hanging. Having been in the squad for years, he already felt that his part in it was something he could not leave behind, and that is exactly what earns him the respect of those below and above him.

Although Riker remained loyal to his superiors for the duration of his service in the New Republic and the Federation, eventually he and the rest of his squad defected to the Mandalorian Protectors when the Second Galactic Civil War ignited. Riker's wife, Lira, willingly came with him and his brothers to Mandalore.

Personality and traits[]

Like all Clone Troopers who acted against Order 66, Riker has shown that he is strong of mind and free of the influence of others, and knows how to separate right from wrong. The fact that he would later on marry, alone proves he is not one to be swayed from his ideals.

Weapons and equipment[]

Riker wears Phase II Clone Trooper armor, and is armed with a DC-15A Blaster rifle and DC-17 Blaster pistol, as well as EMP grenades and Thermal detonators.
