CT-5601, or also known as "Zipper", was a clone trooper that served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. During the war, he served in the unit known as the 31st Nexu Battalion, a battalion specialized in infiltration, assault, and reconnaissance. He was part of the 31st squad, Burner Squad, under the command of Ralos Velense. He took place as the squad's marksman. He got his nickname from how fast he could shoot targets.

Early Life[]
Zipper was one of several million clones of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. He was born and raised on the water planet Kamino, trained to be a soldier in the Grand Army of the Republic. Zipper was placed into the 31st Nexu Battalion a few weeks before the Battle of Ansion, being part of Coal Company.
Battle of Ansion[]
When the planet Ansion was invaded by Separatist forces, the Galactic Republic sent the 31st Nexu Battalion to push the droid forces off-world. The 31st's Coal Company took charge during the battle. Many LAATs landed outside the planet's biggest city, where the planet's capital was located. Other LAATs flew over the city to drop off jet troopers. Zipper was one of the many jet troopers, successfully landing in the city streets with his assigned squad. Zipper along with his squad had to quickly find cover due to heavy droid forces firing upon them. Zipper's squad eventually met up with other troops, pushing further into the city. The 31st's Burner Squad met up with Zipper and the other troops as they neared the capital. Ralos picked Zipper and CT-7090 to join him towards the capital. Zipper was tasked with taking out the tactical droid that was leading the Separatist invasion. After successfully doing so, he followed Ralos and CT-7090 to take out the remaining droid units within the capital building. After the battle, Ralos recruited Zipper into Burner Squad.

Zipper's armor and appearance.
Zipper armor matched that of the standard 31st Nexu Battalion armor, except he had red stripes going over the top of his helmet. There was also stripes on his chest plate. During the Battle of Ansion, he utilized a DC-15A blaster rifle. Zipper also made use of a magnetic cable built into his blaster and a jetpack during the battle. He often made use of a DC-15S and macrobinoculars as well.
