Rise of the Empire era

CT-49-4706, more commonly known as Jaeger, was a well-respected clone pilot ace who flew extensively alongside Jedi ace Myar Tesc during the Clone Wars. As the leader of Velker Squadron, Jaeger flew a V-19 Torrent starfighter for the majority of the war, before transitioning to the Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter in early 20 BBY. Over the course of the war, Jaeger racked up an impressive ninety-three and a half kills, making him one of the highest-scoring non-Jedi starfighter aces of the entire conflict.

Trivia[]

  • Jaeger is named after American World War II fighter ace Charles E. Yeager, who scored 11.5 air-to-air kills over Europe in the North American P-51 Mustang. Additionally, in 1947, Yeager flew the Bell X-1 to roughly Mach 1.06, becoming the first person in history to break the sound barrier.
