CL-7764, nicknamed "Fireball", was a clone trooper pilot who held the rank of lieutenant in the Republic Navy. During the Clone Wars, a pan-galactic conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Fireball flew as a member of the elite Hunter Squadron. His role in the squadron was to fly as the wingman of the squad leader, CC-9217, "Scrapper". Fireball fought in this position throughout the Clone Wars, before perishing during the Battle of Coruscant in 19 BBY, in which he was shot down by a turbolaser battery from an Recusant-class light destroyer.
