CC-9523, nicknamed "Kiro", was a clone shock trooper captain who served the Galactic Republic and commanded the Coruscant Guard's Crimson Company before getting involved with the Reform Party.

CC-9523 was one of the millions of clone troopers created from the genetic material of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. CC-9523 was born in 32 BBY on Kamino, the main cloning planet of the Republic. He was created to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic and trained as an officer. After the outbreak of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Kiro was given command of the Crimson Company shock trooper unit in the Coruscant Guard.
