Bogo'bogh were a sentient insectoid species from Trimlost in the Dohlbani sector of the Mid Rim.

Physical Description[]

They had antennas that acted as sensors, a single red or orange eye, a tongue with a sense of smell, and were usually between 2.8 and 3 meters long. Although they could run on all six of their legs, their two front legs had claws that were excellent for grasping. Their language involved clacking their mandibles together and wheezing.

History[]

When Trimlost was attacked by the Sith in 27,097 BBY, the Bogo’bogh had an army of alchemic automatons fight for them. They were defeated but the Sith allowed them to live in exchange for the secrets of their alchemy. Many Bogo’bogh were taken as slaves by the Sith to other worlds and so they spread throughout the galaxy. The Bogo’bogh of Trimlost were forgotten and their homeworld sank into obscurity by the time of the Republic.

By 20,000 BBY, the Bogo’bogh in the galaxy were thought to have come from a world that had ceased to exist and, like humans, Yplook, and Ryn, their origins were a mystery. But, in 6,075 BBY, the mystery was solved when Trimlost was discovered, ruled by a Dark Side Cult known as the Phoor Hwasod. The Jedi confronted this great evil and freed the Bogo’bogh from tyranny. Few of the galactic Bogo’bogh had any interest in returning to their homeworld and human colonists arrived on Trimlost in 6,002 BBY. At first they were welcomed as harbingers of progress and prosperity, but as time went on, they came to dominate the Bogo’bogh, resulting in several hundred conflicts over the years. In 11 ABY, members of the species settled Hijzobak as a way to live free.
