Boba Fett: The Greatest Bounty Hunter is a Star Wars fan film about the life of famed bounty hunter Boba Fett. The film was directed by Mat Matthew and is made using stop motion animation, employing Hasbro and Kenner action figures along with voice acting, sounds, and some special effects.

Director's synopsis[]

Boba Fett was a bounty hunter and a clone of the famed Jango Fett. Created in 32 BBY as the first of many Fett replicas designed to become part of the Grand Army of the Republic, Boba was raised as Jango's son. Jango taught Boba much, training him to become as skilled a bounty hunter as his father-figure was before him. In 22 BBY, Jango was killed at the First Battle of Geonosis, which opened the Clone Wars. Just a boy, Boba was forced to grow up and took to traveling the galaxy. Later, he became a bounty hunter and took assignments from beings such as Jabba the Hutt, and achieved notoriety despite his young age.

Plot summary[]

The movie starts with Boba escaping from the Sarlaac Pit at the Dune Sea on Tatooine, where he was trapped at the beginning of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. After the escape, he falls in the hot sands of the big desert and he collapses. Dengar, another bounty hunter, appears in the Dune Sea and helps him. Dengar takes him to a safe house where Boba tells him his story as a reward for saving him. Part of Jango Fett's story is shown in the movie as well. After telling him everything, via the use of flashbacks, Boba finds out that a man is using his name to get high bounties. This man was Jodo Kast, who wore Mandalorian armor that looked like Fett's. Kast assumed it would allow him to be hired by the richest clients like Jabba the Hutt and the Galactic Empire.
