[edit] Behind the scenes

  • Betrayal from the Past is sometimes called Betrayal by the author, though she tries to refrain from this now that there is a Star Wars novel with the same name in print.
  • The title was not inspired by Specter of the Past, though after realizing the story would be come a duology the author decided to have the continuation should have future in the title.
  • The one word titles of the chapters are inspired by The Empire Trilogy by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts, which have mostly one word chapter names.
