Beta 517 was a male Human Advanced Recon Commando Lieutenant Colonel in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was born on the aquatic Wild Space planet Kamino, being one of the millions of clones of the Mandalorian Bounty hunter Jango Fett. 517 fought in several battles in the Clone Wars, such as the Battle of Kamino.
Biography[]
Battle of Kashen[]
After receiving advanced training and being dispatched to the front, 517 was sent to a planet in the Outer Rim called Keshen. It was a planet loyal to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and 517, along with other clones, was placed on one of the many gunships, and went down to the surface. Most of the ships got shot down, but 517 made it through. He and his squad took out the droids at the base they crashed at and stayed there to guard it. The battle was a victory for the Republic.
Battle of Kamino[]
During the later stages of the Clone Wars, 517 was stationed on Kamino to oversee the training of clone cadets with three other ARC troopers, in hopes of finding future ARC candidates. During the training, the planet was attacked by the Confederate Navy. The Republic fleet destroyed most of the cruisers, but the debris from the ships were actually disassembled Trident drills. After completion, the Confederate aqua droids attacked the cloning facilities. 517 defended one of the hangars with a squadron of clone troopers, and was one of the two ARCs to survive the battles.
Geonosis[]
When the Confederacy retook Geonosis, the Republic sent in 517 and many other troopers to recapture it for the Republic. 517 was given command of a squadron of camouflaged ARF troopers, and went to battle on the planet surface. After attacking a large dam protected by blaster turrets and droids in a canyon that separated the clones from the CIS headquarters, his second-in-command, CS-9779, suicided to blow up the dam. Thanks to his sacrifice, 517 and the clones got through and destroyed the base.
Felucia[]
Felucia was a major Commerce Guild stronghold, so 517, along with several hundred other clones, was sent in. Due to the large number of troops, 517 was stationed away from the front in the back, and was in charge of an AT-OT convoy. They did get to fight off some Felucians, but other than that, there wasn't any action.
