The Battle of Lowick was a major battle during the Clone Wars. The planet Lowick was invaded by Separatists, Vel Orset responded by counterattacking. Eventually, the battle was won by the Republic.
Prelude[]
Dooku set his eyes on Lowick, home to the Pa'lowick species, green aliens with extended mouths. The Pa'lowick had a military, but it was not strong compared to the Separatists. Dooku called on Grievous to help, but Grievous was already fighting on Duro. Dooku lead the invasion himself. After the invasion began, the Pa'lowick called on the Republic to help keep the Separatists away. The Republic responded and Vel Orset, along with the Victory, the Superior, and the Advantage came. The Pa'lowick donated two of their warships, the Lowick Star, and the Lowick Home, to help. The battle began.
Battle[]
Orset's fleet was an equal match for the Separatist fleet. Orset's fleet consisted of mainly capital ships, and Dooku's fleet was comprised of mainly frigates. The small fighters on each side were approximately equal in number as well. Once the space battle was started, Orset traveled by gunship to the surface. He and his clone troopers began to try to keep the Separatists out of major cities so no harm would be done. He succeeded on this objective. However, once the droids informed their leader that they were being kept out, Dooku traveled down, as well. Whenever clones noticed Dooku, they called for Orset's help.
Orset dueled Dooku. Dooku was much more powerful in the Force than Orset, and he used more tactics and careful swinging. However, Orset still managed to parry attacks. In the end, Dooku had Orset on his back, with Dooku's blade about to cut Orset along the chest. Orset was able to Force push Dooku back as clones came and shot at Dooku. Dooku retreated, and, after losing too many droids, he left the system for good. The entire Separatist fleet made a full retreated out of Pa'lowick space.
Aftermath[]
Orset was given the 98th Division and the title of Jedi General for his winning of the battle. After the many defeats of the Separatists across the Galaxy, Grievous captured the Chancellor, although he was taken back. The Separatists began an invasion of the Outer Rim after the failures.
