Baki was a Spalgar Jedi. He collected minerals from the mines of Fluoritia and used them in his lightsaber.
Using his Spalgarian gift of keen eyesight, coupled with his Jedi skills, Baki became one of the sharpest Jedi snipers in the galaxy. Though looked at as an offensive position by most Jedi, Baki popularized sniping for which he considered it "swift justice by the Force as the Force propels the slug as well as it can stop it".
