I'm a force to be reckoned with.
—Aurek

Aurec Beviin, was a male Human, who served as a leading member and the first Mandalorian Knight. Born the son of a member of the Mandalorian clan Beviin, he grew up on the world of Atalia until a vicious uprising claimed the lives of his parents and forced him into hiding in the wilderness. He was eventually found by Arkon Uroth and ex-Jedi Kes, who after a brief confrontation, offered the boy a place among the Mandalorian Knights. Aurek accepted, becoming the first to walk the path of the new order.

Joined by others who were scouted to be Knights, Aurec quickly developed bonds with his friends and was elected the unofficial leader of their fledgling order. Sometime before 3662 BBY, he allied the Knights with the Sor'aan Loyalist army, defeating the usurper Hassan, in return for support for the Mandalorian Knights in the form of war forges for the coming conflict. The offer of King-Consort was extended; he was called away before he could give an answer, promising to return with one.

By 3662 BBY, Aurec was a promoted Master and was aboard the Dorjander when Uroth fell into temporary insanity due to vivid visions of the future of worlds on fire and some of his students standing among the ashes, including Aurek himself. Uroth grew fanatical on preventing the catastrophe and sabotaged the hyperdrive of the Dorjander intended on killing all aboard, but instead it transported them into the future where they eventually crash-landed on the jungle world of Vendaxa.
