Astrid was a Master of the Samean Chapter of the Jedi Order, and one of the forces that led to its schism. Born on Metastrato Prime and an orphan of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, she was the last Padawan learner of Reilly Carroll. Following the schism of the Samean Jedi, she fled to Rhen Var, where she lived in exile, forming the Astridite Jedi sect. Living to the age of 120, she was finally killed while buying time for Eliot Bakam and her last apprentice Baara Ni, a chance to escape from her Rhen Var home.
