The Ascendancy Stormtrooper Corps was an independent branch of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force, responsible for the direction and deployment of Chiss Stormtroopers.
As an analog to the Imperial Stormtroopers, Ascendancy Stormtroopers served in a similar role -- acting as shock infantry, special forces, and expeditionary warfare assets though the rigid discipline and advanced equipment of the Chiss ensured that they were more effective than their counterparts. As with other branches of the Expansionary Defense Force, Ascendancy Stormtroopers fell under the command of House Nuruodo.
