Anakin Skywalker was a Human Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars. He was discovered on Tatooine at the age on nine by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and was the former Padawan of Obi-Wan Kenobi and during the Clone Wars the Master of Ahsoka Tano. Skywalker possessed an exceptionally strong connection to the Force and was believed to be the Chosen One of Jedi prophecy. He was secretly the husband of Padme Amidala and he later turned to the dark side becoming the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Biography
Edit
Childhood
Edit
Despite believed to be the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker came from humble origins. For the first nine years of his life he was a slave. Skywalker and his mother Shimi moved to Tatooine early in his life and were slaves to Gardulla the Hutt and later Gardulla lost the boy and his mother in a podracing bet to a Toydarian junk dealer named Watto. Shmi Skywalker claimed that her son was conceived without a father, but could not explain how that had happened. It was the theory of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn that the will of the Force caused his birth. There is evidence to suggest that Anakin's birth may have been engineered by the Sith Lord Darth Plagueis as part of an experiment in immortality.
Even at a young age, Skywalker had a reputation for being able to build or repair anything. This was evidenced by his creation of a protocol droid named C-3PO as well as a podracer. Both were constructed from salvaged parts and nearly completed by the age of nine.
A child prodigy, Skywalker excelled at mathematics and engineering, but he was also daring and adventurous. He would often risk his own well being to help others, with little forethought or regard for the consequences of his actions. When he was only five years old, Skywalker scaled an immense dune to chase a herd of banthas away from hunters, despite almost collapsing from heat and exhaustion several times. Sometime later, while bartering with Jawas, Skywalker came across a wounded Tusken Raider and took care of it until the Tusken was taken away by his own people. A short time before the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace, Skywalker, his friend Kitster Banai, and several other youths narrowly avoided a run-in with Gardulla. After hearing of children who had been captured and imprisoned by Sebulba in hopes of selling them to Gardulla, Skywalker and his friends disguised themselves as Jawas and sneaked into Gardulla's estate to free the Ghostling children.
At about eight years of age, Skywalker had his first experience with the Sith. While rummaging through Watto's junk heap, he located an ancient war droid. Hoping to recover a holoprojector for Watto, Skywalker incidentally activated a disturbing hologram, drowned in cries and screams and the strange mention of the word "Sith." Perplexed, Skywalker rushed to the stranded Republic Fighter Corps member who had told him earlier of the angels on the moons of Iego. The spacer, in shock, told him of the 4,000-year-old wrath of the Sith and how they eventually turned inward and fought each other, bringing about their own doom. He spoke of the belief that one Sith Lord had survived and extended the order's existence to this day. Little did Skywalker know that such rumors would soon play a major part in his life.
Discovery
Edit

Added by PowerstaarkWhen a sandstorm began brewing, Skywalker offered his new-found friends shelter in the simple home he shared with his mother. There, Jinn and Amidala recounted their plight of how they ended up being stranded on Tatooine on their way to Coruscant because of a leak in their hyperdrive to the Skywalkers. Overwhelmed with compassion, Skywalker volunteered to enter a podrace, a daring and extremely dangerous contest. The prize money for winning would enable Skywalker's companions to purchase the parts needed to repair their starship. Though Shmi initially objected to the plan, Skywalker recalled her words that "the biggest problem in the universe [was that] nobody [helped] each other." Persuaded, Shmi reluctantly agreed to let her son race.
Just before the race, Jinn made a bet with Watto that, if Skywalker won, the boy would be freed. However, Watto specified one condition—that he roll a chance cube. If it was blue, Skywalker would be freed; red, Shmi would be freed instead. The die was weighted to land on red, but Jinn used the Force to make the cube flip to blue. The Toydarian, positive the boy would lose, accepted the results anyway. The reason for his assumption was obvious: normally, humans lacked the fast reactions needed to operate such a tremendously high-speed land vehicle. However, Skywalker's latent Force sensitivity, manifested in the form of limited prescience, gave the impression that the boy had lightning-fast reflexes. At the time, Skywalker, who dreamed of being a Jedi but lacked knowledge of the Force, believed his Force sensitivity was only his instinct that told him what he needed to do.
Because Skywalker won the race, Jinn was able to free him. However, the Jedi Master was unable to secure Shmi's release, and Skywalker was forced to choose between staying with his mother and becoming a Jedi. Skywalker chose to go with Qui-Gon, though he promised he would come back to free her. Even after the Battle of Naboo, in which Skywalker and his new companions were entangled, ended victoriously, neither the Jedi nor the Republic made any effort to emancipate her. Skywalker’s duties as a Jedi prevented him from freeing his mother himself, though she eventually obtained her freedom from Watto through the aid of a moisture farmer named Cliegg Lars.
After departing to Mos Espa, Jinn and Skywalker approached the Naboo Royal Starship, but were attacked by Sith Lord Darth Maul, who sought to capture Queen Amidala. While Jinn engaged the Sith in battle, Skywalker rushed ahead and warned those already onboard. The ship lifted off and after rescuing Jinn, they left Tatooine behind, heading for Coruscant.
While on the journey to Coruscant, Skywalker further bonded with Amidala, giving her a Japor snippet for her to remember him by. Years later, Amidala would carry that same snippet at her funeral.
Upon arriving at Coruscant, Skywalker faced the Jedi High Council and was tested concerning Jinn's belief that Skywalker was the Chosen One and should be trained as a Jedi. Skywalker's gifts cemented Jinn's belief on the matter, but the Council remained skeptical. Jinn requested to train Skywalker after his current apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, completed his trials, but his request was denied. Skywalker was much older than the usual Padawan, and the Council was concerned that his prior experiences would interfere with his training. In particular, he exhibited much fear and anger, leftovers from his days as a slave; emotions that were further compounded by his separation from his mother and home. They believed he would simply not be able to master the level of emotional detachment required by a member of the Jedi Order. Kenobi, while also amazed at Skywalker's unprecedented midi-chlorian count, over twenty thousandand strong potential, initially agreed with the Council's decision. With nowhere to go on Coruscant, and no way to return to Tatooine, Skywalker followed his new friends on their mission to free Naboo.
Ultimately, Skywalker fought in the Battle of Naboo in a vicious starfighter battle above the planet. After accidentally joining the battle in orbit, Skywalker single-handedly destroyed the orbital Droid Control Ship from within moments after Lt. Gavyn Sykes destroyed the shield generator, thus rendering the Trade Federation's ground forces inactive and saving the Gungan Grand Army from destruction.
However, the celebration was tainted with the death of Qui-Gon who was slain by Darth Maul. The Master's dying wish was for Kenobi to take up Skywalker's training, which Kenobi promised to fulfill. The Council reluctantly agreed for Obi-Wan to begin Skywalker's training, though they were concerned that Skywalker would be too difficult a student for young Kenobi to handle. Anakin was the only known Jedi alive who was not trained by Master Yoda as a youngling.
Meanwhile, Palpatine, the Republic's newly-appointed Supreme Chancellor, promised Skywalker that he would watch the young Jedi's career with great interest. This would be the beginning of a long friendship between the young Jedi and the new ruler of the Republic.
Training in the Jedi Temple
Edit

Added by PowerstaarkAs Anakin's early friendship with Palpatine continued, the Chancellor lent Anakin a sympathetic ear, saying things to further fuel his pride. It is likely that Palpatine's reassurances also had the effect of perpetuating Anakin's lack of control—whenever he was chided or reprimanded by Obi-Wan, Palpatine would reassure Anakin that he had done right, hence Anakin never quite had the impetus to change his behavior.
Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship had a rocky start. Obi-Wan was not the only one to see the potential in the boy, and even considered him dangerous. The only reason he continued to train the boy was because of Qui-Gon's dying wish for him to do so. He felt it a duty, though he did not feel he had the ability to train him properly. Anakin, on the other hand, knew he was just different. Because of how different he was, Anakin tended to keep to himself, not branching out and not really wanting to do so. He did, however, feel a special attachment to Obi-Wan, since he was like the father he never had. Slowly but surely, Master and apprentice began to form a special bond throughout Anakin's adolescence.
While on Coruscant, Anakin did not give up his love of tinkering with machines, and the halls of the Jedi Temple were said to be littered with his droid creations. Still craving thrills and adventure at the age of twelve, he salvaged a pair of race wings and secretly participated in the highly dangerous and illegal garbage pit races held in the lower levels of Galactic City. During one such race he was nearly killed by a Blood Carver named Ke Daiv before Obi-Wan reached him.
Obi-Wan's apprentice
Edit
Early missions
Edit
About five years into his training, Anakin and Obi-Wan had their first mission together to investigate cult leader Kad Chun. Chun, calling himself Uni, was co-leader of disenchanted idealists and refugees who wanted to flee their bureaucracy-flooded worlds. Kad's father, Vox Chun, the leader of the cult, was killed when Obi-Wan and Anakin came to investigate. Later on, Kad forgave Obi-Wan and his scheming father for what they had done.
Shortly after his first mission Anakin constructed his first lightsaber in the caves of Ilum. While he was constructing it, however, he had a dark vision of Darth Maul, the Sith who had killed Qui-Gon. After Anakin managed to defeat this specter, he awoke to find he had finished construction on his lightsaber, its blade a shining blue.
A Jedi mission to Ragoon-6 saw Obi-Wan and Anakin tangled up with a mysterious man, who was believed to be the son of Xanatos. Further research on him revealed that he was from Nierport VII, collected Sith artifacts, and was extremely wealthy for no apparent reason. After a podracing escapade, further information was uncovered regarding the man, who was trying to take over the marketing of bacta through a mining venture. Obi-Wan, along with Anakin, found out that the man was trying to impress a Sith Lord, and planning to kill the youth. Master and apprentice were able to escape, stopping Omega's mining of titanite in the process.
Mission to Zonama Sekot
Edit
The next mission they took was to the planet of Zonama Sekot to find Jedi Knight Vergere, who had recently vanished on a mission there. Unbeknownst to them, Wilhuff Tarkin and Raith Sienar had followed them to exploit Zonama Sekot's ability to fuse organic and high technology into starfighters, creating them at an astonishing rate and at an extremely high quality. On the planet, the colonists sold "seed-partners", which bonded with their hosts and allowed the planet to customize a starfighter for the individual. Anakin attracted many more seed-partners than anyone, and thus, he had a bigger and more intricate ship. He named this new biological ship Jabitha. When Tarkin and Sienar arrived, the planet revealed its sentient consciousness to the Jedi, explaining that Vergere had left with the mysterious "Far Outsiders" in order to protect Zonama Sekot. Anakin and Obi-Wan could not rescue the Fosh Jedi, but they could halt Tarkin's attack. When Ke Daiv, now Tarkin's bodyguard, attempted to kill Anakin, the boy, in a fit of uncontrollable rage, Force Choked the man to death. Unfortunately, Anakin was captured, and brought before Tarkin; however, Obi-Wan managed to destroy Tarkin's flagship and rescue the boy. During this, Zonama Sekot was able to activate its planetary hyperdrive, causing the planet to vanish, bound for the Unknown Regions. Afterwards, Sienar and Tarkin returned to the Republic. Unfortunately, Anakin's organic ship died away from her creator. After the conclusion of this mission, Obi-Wan and Anakin returned to Coruscant.
Outbound Flight
Edit
When Anakin was fifteen Master Mace Windu sent Kenobi and Skywalker on a secret mission to Barlok to monitor the overbearing Jedi Master, Jorus C'baoth, and his Padawan, Lorana Jinzler. Unbeknownst to them, Kinman Doriana, on behalf of Darth Sidious, had planned the negotiations to work splendidly in Jorus's favor, gaining him enough prestige to go ahead with his Outbound Flight Project. Obi-Wan and Anakin did rescue Jinzler after she was captured by malcontents, but their opponents were able to acquire the components they needed to create a missile and attack the negotiations. Obi-Wan tried to stop the missile, but was unsuccessful. However, C'baoth used the Force to crush the missile and that gave him the impetus he needed to quickly conclude the negotiations, as well as receive support for Outbound Flight. Following the go-ahead for Outbound Flight for the Senate, Master Windu tasked Obi-Wan with accompanying the mission at least part of the way out to keep an eye on the headstrong, arrogant C'baoth.
While they were on the expedition, Obi-Wan often butted heads with C'baoth over C'baoth's running of Outbound Flight, especially when the Jedi Master began taking prospective Jedi children away from their parents in the middle of the night. It was only when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine himself asked Obi-Wan and Anakin to settle a dispute on a world near Outbound Flight's final stop in Republic territory that the two would leave the expedition.
Not long after, Kenobi and his Padawan, along with Siri Tachi and her apprentice, Ferus Olin, were given another mission to investigate the disappearance of a Senator's son. In order to infiltrate a band of renegade students at an elite senatorial school on Andara, Anakin proposed that he and Ferus Olin would penetrate the school by posing to be Senators' sons. Obi-Wan's and Siri's part of the mission involved posing as parents who were enrolling their children in the school. When Ferus was captured, Anakin decided not to tell Obi-Wan, instead hoping that he would find him if he continued with the mission. When Obi-Wan learned of his Padawan's actions, he and the Jedi Council were furious.
Yaddle's sacrifice
Edit
Soon after, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, and Yaddle were sent on a negotiation mission to Mawan to settle a devastating civil war between three crime gangs. These gangs, led by Decca the Hutt, Feena Shaan, and a man called Striker (who was actually Granta Omega in disguise), caused the rest of the population to take refuge underground. Unbeknownst to them, the chaotic planet was a trap set by Omega. He released a fatal chemical weapon that killed Yaddle when she absorbed it through the Force, saving the city of Naatan in the process. The weapon was intended by its vengeful maker to kill Obi-Wan and his apprentice, but it failed because of Yaddle's sacrifice. Together Obi-Wan and Anakin brought peace to Mawan, but Anakin felt responsible for the death of the Jedi High Council member.
Anakin's guilt about Yaddle's death caused friction between him and Obi-Wan, who felt that he was less than capable of teaching the mischievous boy properly. When sent on a rescue to the Uziel system to a planet called Vanqor, the two were forced to try and reconcile their differences, first fighting their way out of a nest of gundarks, then, under the influence of a drug called the Zone of Self-Containment, Anakin was taken prisoner by the scientist Jenna Zan Arbor. Siri Tachi, Ferus Olin, Garen Muln, and Clee Rhara, who were sent on a mission but received the distress signal while en route, picked up Obi-Wan together with Anakin on Vanqor. Then all Jedi went to Typha-Dor to warn them against incoming Vanqor invasion. After successfully thwarted invasion they all went back to Vanqor after Jenna Zan Arbor and realized she was gone.
Trailing Jenna Arbor and Roy Teda
Edit
Jenna escaped, however, and did not resurface again until Anakin was eighteen. From information given to them by Tyro Caladian, they found out that she'd appeared on Romin, a focus of corruption and villainy and a shelter for criminals. In order to infiltrate the planet, he, his apprentice, Siri, and Ferus disguised themselves as a band of thieves looking for refuge on the planet. They found that Jenna had allied herself with Roy Teda, the ruler of Romin, and Granta Omega, who also was at qualms with the Jedi. Before the Jedi were captured, civil war erupted. The underworld was trying to overthrow Teda. In the midst of it, Roy and Jenna fled. The criminals contacted the Jedi, thinking they were really criminals, trying to find a way offworld. However, Jenna recognized Anakin from their previous encounter, and Roy ordered his men to seize the Jedi. Before they could do so, Mace Windu and a team of Jedi arrived just in time, and arrested Roy and Jenna. Since they were trying to get to Omega, and they knew the two would lead them to him, they set the two captives free. Only a few weeks later, Obi-Wan and his apprentice trailed Jenna and Roy to Falleen, where they had managed to set up the Blackwater Systems facility to mass-produce her drug, the Zone of Self-Containment. When they were found, Jenna was forced to destroy the facility and Roy Teda fled.
Not long after, Sano Sauro, who was a friend of Granta Omega, and Bog Divinian, started to make anti-Jedi accusations in order to convince the Galactic Senate to lessen or completely dissolve its support of the Order. The vote was about whether the Jedi should be involved in the Senate's activities. It was all a part of Sauro and Omega's plan to leak the Zone of Self-Containment into the Senate's vents and assassinate Chancellor Palpatine. Anakin and Ferus, who were learning to forget their rivalry and understand each other, managed to prevent the assassination attempt on the Supreme Chancellor.
Omega's plan was uncovered, but not in time to save twenty-one Senators and several other Senate employees from being killed by seeker droids programmed by Teda. Unbeknownst to him, since Jenna and Granta had no more use for him, a seeker droid killed him, as well. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Siri set off to find Omega, leaving Ferus to protect the Senators and Palpatine.
Tracking Omega and Jenna Zan Arbor to Korriban, four Jedi pairs—Kenobi and Skywalker, Siri and Ferus, Ry-Gaul and Tru Veld, and Soara and Darra—traveled there to confront and stop them. The apprentices were split up from the Masters to better accomplish the mission. The investigation of Dreshdae led them to the Valley of the Dark Lords. During the confrontation with Granta Omega, Kenobi had no choice but kill him as he felt Omega was too dangerous to be kept alive. However Omega had vital information concerning the Sith Lord Darth Sidious which he took with him to his grave.
Mission to Ansion
Edit
Shortly before the Battle of Geonosis Obi-Wan and Anakin, along with Luminara Unduli and her apprentice, Barriss Offee, were sent to Ansion to settle a border dispute that could have caused the extremely strategic planet to secede to the Confederacy. If Ansion fell, so would countless other worlds. The Jedi negotiated a settlement with city dwellers to remain in the Republic, provided they also convinced the nomadic Alwari to allow expansion into the grasslands. Little did they know that Presidente Shu Mai of the Commerce Guild was pulling the strings to cause Ansion to secede. Arriving early, Obi-Wan and Anakin were just in time to rescue Luminara and Barriss from a mob of killers. Thanks again to Shu Mai and her minion Soergg the Hutt, the Jedi were in constant danger from attack by hired killers, including a successful kidnapping of Barriss by two Ansionians, Kyakhta and Bulgan. Barriss healed the two killers of injuries though, and they became guides for the Jedi to find the nomadic clans, particularly the Borokii overclan.
Traveling on suubatars, the Jedi braved hazards such as flying chawix, kyren hordes, capture by the Yiwa clan and shanhs. On one occasion, the Jedi were required to entertain their hosts, each in their own way. Obi-Wan chose to use a story, weaving a masterful tale that thoroughly impressed the Ansionians. The Jedi eventually made contact with the Borokii overclan, who, after requiring the Jedi to retrieve a tuft of rare albino surepp wool, agreed to the Jedi's settlement—provided they helped wage war against their rivals, the Januul clan. Obi-Wan shocked his companions when he agreed, but he had a plan. When the battle lines were drawn, the Jedi marched out into the middle and refused to fight either side, calling on both clans to negotiate a settlement. Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luminara, and Barriss were subsequently attacked by both sides, but they deflected the assaults, defeating both armies.
In the wake of the following peace between the tribes, the Jedi journeyed back to the capital of Cuipernam to inform the Unity Council controlling the planet's fate of their success. While they were attacked again by thugs, the two clans sent an honor guard to help the Jedi, and Ansion remained in the Republic thanks to the efforts of Obi-Wan and his companions. Because of her status as President, Shu Mai was not discovered to be a part of the matter.
Beginning of the Clone Wars
Edit
Reunited with Padme
Edit

Added by PowerstaarkEventually Amidala began to return his feelings. It was at Amidala's lake retreat where the two lost their inhibitions and shared their first kiss. Both seemed entranced with the other despite their different social castes. However, Amidala eventually came to her senses, and while Skywalker was concerned with his feelings and living in the present moment—even suggesting they could keep their relationship a secret—Amidala was more concerned with duty and obligation. She had enough foresight to know their current situations would not allow for a relationship between them. Skywalker's pursuit of a relationship with her was in violation of Jedi tradition, which held that although Jedi were not required to be celibate, they were to avoid attachment to all but the Force itself.
Return to Tatooine
Edit
Skywalker had been suffering from recurring nightmares about his mother, Shmi, for several months prior to meeting Amidala again; and, because of them, went against the spirit of his orders to protect Amidala by bringing her to Tatooine to find Shmi. Upon landing on Tatooine, Skywalker made his way straight for Watto's shop, where he discovered that a moisture farmer named Cliegg Lars had freed and married his mother. While speaking with Lars, he learned, to his horror, that Shmi had been abducted by Tusken Raiders. He immediately set out in pursuit of her on Owen Lars' swoop bike.
That night, the young Jedi discovered the Tusken camp beyond the B'Thazoshe Bridge, and slipped into the tent that contained his mother, most likely locating her with his Jedi senses. He freed her from her bonds, but it was too late. Battered, sleep-deprived, and dehydrated, Shmi Skywalker died in his arms, but not before seeing him for the last time.
Skywalker allowed the shock of her death to catalyze an explosion of his long-nursed anger and selfishness. He flew into a rage, killing everyone present—even, as he confessed to Amidala later, "the women and children." Some Jedi, including Yoda and the deceased Qui-Gon Jinn, sensed the shock of this massacre as well as Skywalker's powerful Force presence, which bordered on the dark side. Amidala was clearly troubled by what Skywalker had done, but had invested herself too much in him to be truly repulsed. She tried to soothe him with sympathy and told no one of Skywalker's hideous act. In his anger and sorrow, he rashly claimed that one day he would have the power to stop people from dying.
Battle of Geonosis
Edit
While still on Tatooine, Skywalker discovered that Kenobi had been taken hostage by the Geonosian-engineered Confederacy of Independent Systems's droid forces. He initially decided to honor Master Windu's order to protect Amidala at all costs and to stay on Tatooine, the episode with his mother having caused him to lose confidence in himself. However, Amidala convinced him that rescuing his mentor was the right thing to do and they traveled to Geonosis.
Once on the planet, Skywalker and Amidala infiltrated the droid foundries but were soon captured as well and sentenced to die in a gladiatorial execution arena by the Sith Lord and leader of the CIS, Count Dooku. Faced with their impending fate, they confessed their love to one another.
However they did not die thanks to the arrival of a Jedi strike team led by Mace Windu. Skywalker and Kenobi recieved lightsabers from two unknown Jedi and Padme picked up a droids fallen blaster. Anakin stayed with Padme though the whole fight and it was only because he was protecting her that she wasn't killed. The two of them were in the survivors circle and were rescued by Yoda and the newly formed clone army.
Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme got into a gunship and as they flew over Geonosis they noticed Count Dooku attempting to flee on a speeder bike. They chased after him but their ship was struck and Padme tumbled out. Anakin wanted to go back for her but Obi-Wan managed to convince him that catching Dooku was more important.
Anakin and Obi-Wan arrived at a hanger and got out of the ship only seconds before it was blown up by enemy fire. The two Jedi confronted Dooku in the hanger and Anakin foolishly charged at the Sith Lord and was easily incapacitated by a blast of Force Lightning forcing Obi-Wan to duel Dooku alone. Though Kenobi fought valliantly he was no
Added by PowerstaarkObi-Wan tossed Anakin his own lightsaber and Anakin attacked Dooku with both blades but the Sith Lord quickly destroyed one of them forcing Anakin to resort to using one blade. After a flurry of swordplay Dooku outmaneuvered Anakin and severed his right arm before Force pushing him to the ground. Dooku was about to leave but was then confronted by Yoda.
Dooku and Yoda engaged in a Force duel with Dooku telekinetically hurling peices of machinery at Yoda and Yoda telekinetically deflecting them. Dooku then tried crushing Yoda with part of the ceiling but again Yoda deflected it. Seeing his Telekinesis wasn't working Dooku tried to blast Yoda with Force Lightning but the Jedi Master deflected and absorbed it with his bare hands. Dooku realised that he couldn't defeat Yoda by Force powers alone and decided to engage the Jedi Master in a lightsaber duel.
Though Dooku's Makashi mastery made him a formidable opponent even to the Grand Master of the Jedi Order he was unable to defeat Yoda so he telekinetically brought down a large column towards the injured Skywalker and Kenobi. Yoda telekinetically lifted the column away from the two Jedi but Dooku used the oppontunity to escape in his Solar Sailor.
After being rescued by Yoda, Anakn and Obi-Wan were transported back to the Jedi Temple for healing.
Marriage to Padmé
Edit
After Skywalker's forearm was replaced with a mechno-arm crafted by the Chief Healer Vokara Che, he remained in the Halls of Healing as he grew accustomed to the replacement. Meanwhile, Kenobi was sent by Master Yoda to force Amidala to end her relationship with the Chosen One. Lying, she agreed, yet asked to do it herself. She suggested having Anakin escort her back to Naboo, and that is when she would end it.
However, the escort was a ploy, and Skywalker married Amidala even though that meant breaking the Jedi Code, he didn't care and set the marriage at Varykino on Naboo in a secret ceremony performed by a Naboo holyman. C-3PO and his counterpart, R2-D2, were the only witnesses. The newly-married couple would later struggle to keep their relationship secret.
The Clone Wars
Edit
Battle of Kamino
Edit
During the first month of the war Anakin, Obi-Wan, Aayla Secura and Kit Fisto fought in the battle of Kamino under the command of Oppo Rancisis and Shaak Ti. Obi-Wan. Shaak and Kit led the ground forces while Aayla and Anakin led the air forces and Rancisis used Battle Meditation. Though the battle was a victory some the Separatists, led by Passel Argente, managed to flee.
Battle of Muunulinst and duel on Yavin IV
Edit
Six weeks into the Clone Wars Anakin and Obi-Wan fought in the battle of Muunulinst, with Obi-Wan commanding the ground forces and Anakin leading the space forces. Anakin's exceptional piloting skills allowed him to shoot down many droid ships but then he noticed a mysterious fighter and engaged it in a dogfight. He chased the fighter though space and then down to the planet chasing through the streets of the same city his master was attacking. Eventually the fighter jumped to hyperspace and Anakin followed, disobeying direct orders from Kenobi in the process. Obi-Wan sent a squad of clones led by Captain Fordo after him.
On Yavin IV the clone squad caught up with Anakin but every one of them was killed by a mysterious assailant including Fordo. The assailant then revealed herself to Skywalker. She was Count Dooku's newly recruited Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress.
Added by PowerstaarkSkywalker and Ventress engaged in a vicious lightsaber duel, during which they proved evenly matched with neither one able to gain advantage over the other. They fought on the ground at first but then leapt into the trees, chasing each other through the jungle until they reached an ancient temple. They fought their way to the top of the temple with both growing frustrated by their inability to overcome the other.
Finally Ventress managed to get past Anakin's defence slashing him across the right eye. Flinching in pain, Skywalker lost focus giving Ventress enough time to knock his lightsaber out of his hand. Ventress then swung both lightsabers down at Skywalker in a killing blow.
But Skywalker wasn't finished yet. He caught both her wrists in each hand and squeezed her left wrist with his metal hand forcing her to let go of her lightsaber. Then Anakin, driven into a rage both from the pain of the wound over his eye and his frustration at fighting such a formidable opponent, attacked Ventress battering away at her defences. As he attacked he got brief visions of Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon Jinn and Yoda looking very disturbed by what he was doing. He finally knocked Ventress off the edge of the Temple and gave a roar of rage and triumph. However his victory had only been managed by tapping into his dark side.
Anakin found his way back to his fighter and flew back to Muunulinst where he was scolded by Obi-Wan for disobeying orders. The Jedi were then contacted by Jedi Master Daakman Barrek who needed immidiate evacuation from Hypori. Obi-Wan and Anakin watched as Barrek was cut down by a lightsaber and then sent Leiutenant Rex and a sqaud of clones to rescue them. The clones managed to rescue Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura and Shaak Ti and Rex was promoted to Captain.
Battle of Ohma-D'un
Edit
Two weeks later Obi-Wan, Anakin, Jedi Knight Glaive and his Padawan Zule Xiss were sent to Ohma-D'un where the Separatists were planning to build a base in order to attack Naboo. It was here that Obi-Wan encountered Asajj Ventess for the first time. The Republic had lost contact with a Gungan colony on the moon which had been slaughtered by Ventress and the mysterious Bounty Hunter Rum Sleg along with their battle droids.
Anakin and the others were ambushed by Ventress, Sleg and a group of battle droids in the swamps of Ohma-D'un. Ventress easily killed Glaive while Sleg wounded Zule before being shot in the leg by Captain Rex. While the clones dealt with the droids Obi-Wan and Anakin duelled Ventress. Eventually the Jedi forced Ventress to flee and Sleg retreated too using his jetpack.
At some point in the month that followed Obi-Wan joined the Jedi Council.
Battle of Jabiim
Edit
On the rain-drenched world of Jabiim, during the battle that took place there, Skywalker came into his own. As Obi-Wan was thought to have been killed by a Separatist attack, Anakin led a cadre of similarly "orphaned" Padawans. The loss of his Master and the horrors on the battlefield of Jabiim would have lasting effect on his life; and because of it he became even more fiercely independent and more frustrated by his failings. However, in the thick of the battle he received an urgent transmission from Palpatine to personally evacuate the planet. This ploy may have been made to save Anakin from being killed on the battlefront.
Respecting the Chancellor's power and friendship, Anakin had to comply with his wishes, though it was hard for him to desert his friends on the final front. Before leaving, the sixteen-year old Padawan Aubrie Wyn gave Anakin her Master's holocron to return to the temple. Sadly, in the following five days as Anakin left the front, all of the members of the Padawan Pack were killed in action. When the transports arrived, only a few had made it through the storms. Anakin was faced with a hard and painful decision—as the last surviving Jedi on Jabiim, he ordered the evacuation of the planet.
Two days after the evacuation, the wounded were taken to New Holstice, where Anakin would first meet A'Sharad Hett, the Tusken Jedi, and his apprentice, Bhat Jul, who practiced as healers.
One of the wounded was Master Sora Mobari, who was injured in an explosion by ithorian terrorists and who was not responding to treatments. Anakin, tried a different method—he used the Force to massage Mobari's heart to try and get it pumping properly again. Hett was horrified, so he tried to reason with Anakin, saying that she was suffering needlessly. Anakin insisted she would live, but in spite of his efforts she succumbed to her injuries. Anakin was unable to accept that he could not save people from death; this experience would reinforce his desire to save people from dying.
Hett later showed Anakin a memorial created for all the Jedi killed since the birth of the Republic. It was composed of supposedly immortal memory moths that whispered the names of the Jedi over and over again. Anakin released a few moths for all members of the Padawan Pack and his own master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. As Hett released one for Sora Morbari, he reassured Anakin that she was severed from the Living Force days ago and nothing could have stopped her from dying. Because of his Master’s apparent death, Anakin came under the tutelage of Ki-Adi-Mundi as a campaign began on the world of Aargonar.
Battle of Aargonar
Edit
On the desert world of Aargonar, the Republic and Confederacy fought; the lines were drawn. During one of the skirmishes, Anakin, Hett, and his apprentice, Bhat, were lost behind enemy lines.
Bhat had been seriously injured from a crash, and as he lay dying, Anakin tried to use the Force to heal him, but it was to no avail; Bhat died from the fatal wounds. Anakin, frustrated with the Nikto's death, chastised Hett, saying that had they been with him, they might have been able to save him. Hett replied that he had felt Bhat become one with the Force, arguing that Bhat had known that he was there with him in the Force, and that his physical presence would have made no difference.
As Skywalker and Hett began to work their way back to their army, Anakin's prejudice against the Tuskens for killing his mother was beginning to demonstrate itself against the Tusken Jedi. He was insulted and angered when Hett spoke of the similarities between them: coming to Coruscant later in their lives, being raised on a desert planet, and having known only one parent. Anakin's fury was intensified when Hett commented that Anakin would have made a good Tusken.
When they reached a Separatist station, they began working on transport to return to their own base. So they could hijack a transport, Hett gave Anakin the power cells from his and the Tusken Jedi's father's lightsaber to get the transport moving. That completed, they started the search for weapons to arm themselves. As the hours rolled by, Anakin began to relive the memories surrounding his mother's death. When Separatist guards located the Padawan, who was slipping towards the dark side, he mistook them for Tuskens, and, in a fit of rage, slaughtered them all. In a blood haze, Anakin turned on Hett, but the Tusken Jedi managed to disarm him and talk some sense into him.
A'Sharad told Anakin that, as a Tusken, he understood the vehement desire to take revenge, but because of his training as a Jedi he had learned that vengeance was not theirs to take. The Tusken Jedi also knew the lure of the dark side, knowing it needed to be avoided. After recounting to Hett his painful memories of his mother's death, Anakin remembered that his mother's death and the slaughter that had followed it was something he had never told his old master, Obi-Wan.
Seeing the turmoil the boy was in, Hett concluded that if they were to survive and get along together, Anakin must see him as a Jedi, and not a Tusken Raider. Hett removed his mask, surprising Anakin, who saw that he was totally Human. He insisted that he was Tusken at heart, but also wholly a Jedi. Anakin apologized to him, finally seeing Hett as an ally instead of an old foe. The two survived the trip back to the Republic lines.
Hett, contemplating the episode, decided to have people see him first as a Jedi, then as a Tusken. He also never told anyone else of Anakin's secret, insisting that it was his burden and that Anakin would have to face the repercussions of what he had done, believing that Anakin would tell his master about the massacre, himself. Anakin never did.
Not long afterwards, Anakin discovered that his master was indeed alive and had only been captured by Asajj, and was soon joyfully reunited with Kenobi, who had escaped from captivity.
Shortly after this Anakin was promoted to Jedi Knight though about half of the Council was unsure if he deserved it.
Battle of Christophsis
Edit
Defeating Admiral Trench
Edit
One year after the beginning of the Clone Wars Christophsis was invaded by the Separatists and the citizens put out a call for help to the Republic. Anakin and Obi-Wan were quickly dispatched to aid the planet, along with Commander Cody and Captain Rex. The blockade guarding Christophsis was lead by Admiral Trench.
Leading the initial assault, Skywalker was quickly repelled by the Separatists' new and devious tactics and rendezvoused with Kenobi behind one of Christophsis' moons to regroup. His former Master lent him use of one of the Republic's newest weapons, a stealth ship to sneak behind enemy lines. Before leaving for the mission, Skywalker was approached by Admiral Wulff Yularen, who volunteered himself for the mission, citing past experience with their dangerous foe, Admiral Trench. Zipping past Trench's flagship, Skywalker unleashed a torrent of missiles, which were quickly absorbed the admiral's shields. Trench sent back a volley of his own shots, which were rendered inefficient as Skywalker disappeared under his ship's capabilities of remaining undetectable. At an efficient stalemate, Trench contacted Skywalker through a general hail, attempting to goad the Jedi into attacking. When the admiral revealed that he had dealt with stealth ships previously, Skywalker guessed that he had defeated the ship through use of a magnetic signature. Using the same knowledge against Trench, Skywalker allowed the Separatist to send out homing missiles, then skimmed along the bridge of his ship, sending the missiles slamming into the Separatist flagship defeating, and presumably killing, Admiral Trench.
Clone traitor
Edit
Later, Anakin, Obi-Wan and the clones set up defense in two towers and prepared as the droid forces advanced, seemingly unaware of the Jedi's prescence. However, the droid army suddenly split up, and before Obi-Wan knew what was happening, droids arrived in his tower and started to attack. Anakin called a clone called Hawk for an evacuation, and he and Rex proceeded to aid Obi-Wan. They managed to escape, and also managed to steal a tactical droid's head.

Added by PowerstaarkOn the way, they discovered that an increasing number of droids were watching them but not attempting to fire, and Anakin concluded that they were being led into a trap. Upon arrival, they encountered Asajj Ventress, and the three engaged in a duel. After several minutes of duelling Ventress taunted them before leading them to see a complete army of droids preparing to attack the city. The Jedi escaped on STAP's, and Ventress ordered General Whorm Loathsome to march on the city before leaving.
Upon returning to the Republic base, Anakin and Obi-Wan discovered that Rex and Cody had found Slick to be the traitor. Anakin questioned why Slick would betray his brothers, and Slick replied that it was the Jedi who kept his brothers enslaved. Cody and Rex, however, said that if he loved his brothers, he wouldn't put them at risk, and Slick was taken away to lockup.
Victory on Christophsis
Edit
Anakin and Obi-Wan managed to fend off the first wave of droids, and sent their shuttle back for reinforcements. A second wave of droids soon advanced, and while Obi-Wan and Cody drew the droids' attention, Anakin, Rex and Torrent Company took out the advancing tri-droids. This, along with the Republic's use of heavy cannons, forced Loathsom to retreat.
After that a shuttle arrived with a young Togruta Jedi named Ahsoka Tano and her friend Tom Norton. The two Padawans had a message from the Jedi Council to get back to Coruscant. Ahsoka had also been assigned as Anakin's Padawan, much to Anakin's shock and dismay. Tom was assigned as Obi-Wan's Padawan. After a partially successful attempt to get the message from Yoda, Anakin went to check on Rex at the lookout post, taking his new Padawan with him.
Unfortunately, Loathsom had activated an expanding deflector shield with his armies advancing behind it. While Obi-Wan, Tom and the clones engaged the droids, Anakin and Ahsoka managed to sneak behind the shield by hiding beneath a box. After they bumped into a droideka and Ahsoka accidentally alerted retail droids, the two still managed to destroy the shield generator, allowing Republic artillery to finish off the droids. The Separatists on Christophsis surrendered to Kenobi, and Anakin accepted his new Padawan.
Battle of Teth
Edit
Anakin and Ahsoka were reassigned on another vital mission - to rescue Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta, from the planet Teth. On Teth, along with Ahsoka, Captain Rex and Torrent Company, Skywalker scaled a high cliff under Separatist fire to reach a clifftop monastery. They found Rotta without any difficulty but then discovered that he was badly ill. To make matters worse, the droid army attacked the monastary and the Jedi and Clones were forced to barricade the doors. While Rex and the clones stayed behind to hold off the droids, Anakin and Ahsoka went with R2-D2 to find a way off the planet.
R2 managed to find a backdoor landing platform but then the Jedi were confronted by Asajj Ventress. They dueled Ventress in a Rancor pit, but the Rancor collapsed on top of Ventress after Ahsoka stabbed it in the nose. The pair made their way to the landing platform but the ship that was meant to pick them up was shot down by a Vulture droid which then attacked the Jedi. They defeated the droid but then Ventress and two droidekas caught up with them. While Ahsoka briefly fought Ventress, Anakin managed to tame a [sw|Can-cell] and he, Ahsoka and R2 escaped to another platform opposite them. The two Jedi then took a beat-up spice freighter, the Twilight, and tried to dock on the Spirit of the Republic. However, when its hangar was destroyed by Separatist fire, they were forced to take the Twilight all the way to Tatooine. Fortunately, Rotta was saved from near death by some medicine.
Mission to Tatooine
Edit
The Twilight was shot down over Tatooine and forced to crash-land. The Jedi split up, with Anakin acting as a decoy for his young apprentice. Dooku, who had been negotiating with Jabba, intercepted Skywalker and sent droids to intercept Ahsoka so that they would not reach the Hutt and reveal Dooku's deceptions.

Added by PowerstaarkHowever when he arrived at Jabba's palace he found that Ahsoka wasn't there. Fearing that Jabba had harmed or killed her, Skywalker ignited his lightsaber and held it to Jabba's throat. However, Ahsoka then entered the room carrying Rotta whom she gave to his father. Jabba still thought the Jedi were trying to manipulate him and ordered them to be executed but Padme Amidala contacted him just before the order could be obeyed. She told Jabba that it was Count Dooku and Jabba's own uncle Ziro who had arranged Rotta's kidnapping. Realising that the Jedi truly had rescued his son, Jabba allied himself to the Republic.
The Malevolence
Edit
Later, Anakin and Ahsoka went to rescue Plo Koon, when he was stranded in an escape pod in the Abregado system with a small group of Clone troopers. Only Ahsoka's ability to sense Master Koon through the Force kept Skywalker from giving up on him after an unsuccessful search, as well as the fact that she grabbed the controls of the Twilight and began piloting it herself. She found Plo and his clones and rescued them. Plo informed them that the "secret weapon" that the Separatists were using was an ion cannon that rendered their ships defenseless. At that point the ship passed by, forcing them to shut down all systems before it could detect them. They however forgot to shut off the medical droid. It was detected by the Malevolence, which responded by firing the ion cannon. The Twilight managed to escape the ion wave by jumping into hyperspace, taking knowledge of the Separatist weapon with them.
Shortly after, Anakin created a plan to utilize Y-wing bombers in a daring attack on the Malevolence, primarily seeking to take out General Grievous and ensure a speedier resolution to the war. The Republic plotted the course of the Separatist super weapon to the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center, and in an attempt to arrive there before it, the strike force made its way through the Balmorran Run; however, the small force had not reckoned on being confronted by Neebray mantas. After barely escaping with their lives, the strike team engaged in battle with the Malevolence, taking several casualties. When it became apparent that the original plan would fail, Ahsoka who was acting as her Master's gunner, suggested a change in tactics. With this in mind Plo devised a plan that sought to cause the Separatist warship's ion cannons to overload; this tactic proved successful and shortly after destroying the ion cannons, Master Kenobi and Tom Norton arrived in system with three Republic ships that began pursuit of the fleeing Malevolence.
Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Tom and Plo began the final attack on the Malevolence when they received an incoming transmission from Padme Amidala and C-3PO, who were being pulled onboard the Malevolence via a tractor beam. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Tom, Ahsoka and R2-D2 piloted the Twilight and entered the Malevolence through an airlock. After rescuing his wife, Anakin rigged the navicomputer and programmed the ship to crash into a nearby moon. The group then escaped in the Twilight.
Capture and rescue of R2-D2
Edit
After the Malevolence crisis, Grievous dissappeared for a time before attacking the Both system. Anakin and Ahsoka prepared to defend the strategic system. Grievous headed through the asteroid belt, and Anakin led a fleet of V-19s in his starfighter with R2-D2. As the Separatist fleet started to attack the cruisers, it seemed that the Republic had been beaten, but Anakin unveiled his "surprise" for Grievous: pre-dispatched AT-TEs in the asteroid field. The AT-TEs attacked the Separatist frigates from behind, and the Venator-class cruisers attacked from the front. Beaten, Grievous boarded his fighter and fled the battle. Skywalker pursued him in his starfighter, but flying debris from the disintegrating frigates caused damage to his ship. However, Rex was able to rescue him, but after recovering he learned that Artoo had gone missing.
With Artoo missing, Anakin was given a replacement astromech droid, R3-S6, but was convinced that Artoo could never be replaced. In an attempt to find his friend, Anakin went with Ahsoka onboard the Twilight to search the battlefield. Finding his damaged ship without Artoo, Anakin then proceeded to dock to a nearby scavenging ship, unaware of the fact that Trandoshan Gha Nachkt had already promised the droid to Grievous.
After returning to his cruiser, Anakin reported to Obi-Wan that he wasn't able to find Artoo. Kenobi then instructed Skywalker to find the Separatist listening post that was apparently listening in on them, explaining the Separatists' intel on their strategies. Anakin went to scout ahead with R3, but R3 unfortunately activated his starfighter's tracking beacon, alerting Grievous to his position. Anakin managed to evade an attack by Vulture droids, and Ahsoka and Rex came to his rescue aboard the Twilight. After chastising R3 for nearly getting killed, Skywalker held onto the belief that Artoo was still somewhere out there.
After receiving a message from Artoo, Anakin managed to track his droid to Skytop Station, the listening post they had been looking for. Anakin sent Ahsoka and the clones to destroy the station while he went to search for Artoo. He found Artoo being carried away by Grievous's MagnaGuards, and successfully dispatched the droids. Anakin then went with Artoo to the south hangar to escape with his team, but upon meeting up with Rex and Denal, he discovered that Ahsoka had engaged Grievous alone and sent the two to complete the mission. As the group started to leave the hangar, they were locked in by R3, who revealed himself to be a spy for Grievous. R3 also activated three Vulture droids. Super battle droids appeared, and a fight broke out. After Ahsoka returned, Anakin reprimanded her for engaging Grievous alone, but because Ahsoka had returned more or less unscathed it was a cheerful scolding rather than a serious one. He sent Artoo to find the controls on the outer platform to open the hangar. The group managed to dispatch the rest of the droids, and after Artoo opened the hangar door and also destroyed R3, Skywalker went out in his fighter to retrieve him. He later conferred with Obi-Wan and Tom, the former of whom was exhasperated by Anakin risking the mission, his men and his Padawan to save a droid and the latter relieved that Ahsoka was unharmed. Skywalker then told Tano that Artoo was more than a droid: he was a friend.
Mission to Orto Plutonia
Edit
When Ahsoka was sent to guard Nute Gunray, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Tom were sent to Orto Plutonia to investigate the loss of Republic troopers on the planet. They were accompanied by two represantitives of Pantora, Chairman Chi Cho and Senator Riyo Chuchi. They found that the culprits were the native Talz but since they were only defending their home and meant no harm to the war effort, the Jedi attempted to find a peaceful solution to the problem. Chairman Cho refused and declared war on the Talz but shortly after he was killed by a Talz's spear, Senator Chuchi managed to make peace with the inhabitants.
Battle of Quell
Edit
When Jedi General Aayla Secura was attacked by the Separatists, the Resolute was sent to help her. Arriving above Quell, Anakin and Ahsoka went on gunships to land on the cruiser, but Skywalker used a rocket droid to land on the cruiser. He called a frigate for an evacuation of the cruiser, and met up with Aayla and Bly with Ahsoka and Rex who caught up with him. However, increasing Separatist fire caused a raging inferno to run through the cruiser, and Skywalker sacrificed himself to save the others, severely injuring himself in the process. Aayla and Ahsoka managed to get him onboard the frigate, but as they prepared to dock with the Resolute to give Skywalker medical attention, an assault by several Vulture droids caused the hyperdrive to accidentally activate, and they were forced to detach from the cruiser.
Landing on Maridun
Edit
Ahsoka piloted the frigate to narrowly avoid hitting a star, but the ship was forced to crash-land on the remote world of Maridun. Leaving Rex to watch over Anakin, Aayla, Ahsoka and the rest of the clones went in search of the planet's inhabitants for medical support for Skywalker. Rex was attacked by a Mastif phalone, but managed to fend it off. Just as a second group of the creatures attacked Skywalker and Rex, Tano arrived with Bly and Wag Too, who was a healer belonging to the pacifist Lurmen colony. They managed to fend off the creatures and brought Skywalker to the Lurmen village
When Separatists arrived on Maridun, Tee Watt Kaa, leader of the Lurmen, accused the Jedi of bringing the war to their planet. Anakin, Ahsoka, Aayla, Rex and Bly left the village so that the Lurmen would not pay the consequence of their presence. After discovering that the Separatists were planning on testing a new weapon on the Lurmen, the group took a shuttle back to the Lurmen village to defend them. The group set up shields and managed to survive a blast from the weapon, as well as the first wave of droids. However, the second wave of droids managed to penetrate the shield and destroyed it. As the Separatists prepared to use the Defoliator again, Skywalker arrived and managed to destroy it, along with capturing General Lok Durd. As the Jedi prepared to leave, a fleet of three Venator-class cruisers arrived on the planet: Admiral Yularen was apparently able to find them on his own.
Personality and traits
Edit
As a young boy, Anakin was thoughtful and intelligent. He was friendly and easily got along with others despite his status as a slave. When the Jedi arrived, he was helpful and generous doing all that he could to help them off-planet and entering in a dangerous the podrace as well as giving them the sizable reward money which he and his mother would have had use for. He also hated being treated unjustly or being wrongly accused. He was fiercely loyal, willing to do anything to keep those he was close to from harm, at any cost. His only price for this dedication was loyalty in return.
His separation from his mother was the hardest thing he'd ever done, and it still hurt him for years. Because of his fear of losing more people he cared about, he kept to himself, fiddling around with his only friends, the Temple droids. During this, however, he grew especially close to Obi-Wan, considering him a father and a role model. Due to his sudden escalation from slave to being known as the "Chosen One" and the rising star of the Jedi Order, pride and arrogance set in. He grew cocky, self-appreciating, and he grew to hate being reprimanded or lectured. He also hated admitting when he'd made a mistake.
Anakin was naturally honest and despised lying and deception, and generally hated politics, considering most politicians to be greedy and selfish. However he made exceptions for Padme Amidala and Chancellor Palpatine becoming Padme's secret husband and, or so he believed, Palpatine's good friend, though it was possible Palpatine didn't really feel any genuine affection for him due to his secret role as Darth Sidious. Obi-Wan's continual self-consciousness when it came to Anakin hurt the boy, who at times wasn't sure whether Obi-Wan liked him, something his heart craved. Therefore, he turned to a more complimenting, comforting source: Palpatine.
However Anakin's dark side would come out at times and ironically he started showing more dark traits while he was a Jedi than while he was a slave, even though Jedi were trained to control their inner darkness. The death of his mother caused him to slaughter a whole village of Tusken raiders and he was also known to react viciously when he was taunted.
Anakin was also a hypocrite at times as he lectured Ahsoka on being humble while he hadn't been humble since he was a child.
Relationships
Edit
Shimi Skywalker
Edit
Anakin was very attached to his mother, Shimi. His separation from her was the hardest thing he'd ever done, and it still hurt him for years. After Shimi's death his lust for revenge caused him to slaughter a whole village of Tusken raiders.
Padme Armidala
Edit
When he first met Padme Armidala, Anakin was immediately facinated and infatuated by her, asking if she was an angel. Ten years later, he fell in love with her and, defying the Jedi Code, married her on Naboo. Anakin was overprotective to Padme, frequently worrying when she went away from Coruscant in case she got in danger which she usually did. Anakin's old Master, Obi-Wan, had figured out that Anakin and Padme were far more than just friends though he didn't know that they were married.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Edit
During his training, Anakin became close to Obi-Wan Kenobi once claiming that he was the closest thing he had to a father. However, Anakin's arrogance made him feel that he was superiour to Obi-Wan in some ways and he sometimes felt that Obi-Wan was holding him back. After Anakin became a Jedi Knight, the two of them became like brothers and like real brothers they frequently bickered with each other. Ahsoka and Tom sometimes thought they bickered more for fun than anything else.
Ahsoka Tano
Edit
Anakin was very attached to his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano and though at first his arrogance made him unwilling to take a Padawan, believing a student would slow him down, he quickly became very fond of her. For a while after they first met Ahsoka nicknamed him 'Skyguy' though this habit wore off over time. Anakin frequently called Ahsoka 'Snips' even after Ahsoka had abandoned her Skyguy nickname.
Palpatine
Edit
Anakin frequently turned to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for comfort and advice, completely unaware that Palpatine was secretly Darth Sidious. Anakin believed that Palpatine was one of his closest friends, though it's unlikely that Palpatine felt any attachment to him in return.
Qui-Gon Jinn
Edit
Though Anakin didn't have time to properly get to know Qui-Gon Jinn, he was very fond of the Jedi Master and was upset when he died, though not as upset as Obi-Wan.
R2-D2
Edit
Anakin considered R2-D2 to be his closest non-living friend, and despite Obi-Wan's claims that he was only a droid, Anakin treated Artoo as though he were a living being, calling him 'buddy' from time to time. In return Artoo was very loyal to Anakin.
Powers and abilities
Edit
Anakin Skywalker possessed an incredibly strong connection to the Force and was believed to be the "Chosen One" of Jedi prophecy. If he reached his full potential he would have been the most powerful being in Jedi or Sith history. Despite not recieving perfect training Skywalkers connection to the Force allowed him to learn faster than any other Padawan.
Lightsaber training
Edit
Though Anakin's connection to the Force was even stronger than Yoda's or Darth Sidious' he focused mainly on lightsaber combat, having been trained as a Jedi Guardian and he never learned to weild his Force powers at his maximum potential; thus he never became as powerful as Yoda or Sidious. However his Force powers contributed to his lightsaber skills allowing him to become a highly skilled swordsman, half through training and half through instinct. By the time he faced Count Dooku on Geonosis he believed himself to be one of the greatest swordsmen in the Order. However Dooku's Makashi mastery was too much for him, even when he was armed with two lightsabers and the Sith Lord overwhelmed him and sliced off his right arm.
Anakin's signature fighting style was Djem So and his skill in the style allowed him to hold his own against Count Dooku for a while but like Obi-Wan he was defeated. During the Petranaki arena on Geonosis he relied mostly on Djem So but also put elements of Shii-Cho into his swordplay to get him through the battle. However he only had basic knowledge of Shii-Cho. Anakin also ultilised Ataru sometimes as it suited his flashy and bold personality. In addition Anakin had some skill in Jar'Kai though his Jar'Kai was no match for Count Dooku's Makashi. Anakin actually held his own against Dooku better with one lightsaber than he did with two.
Anakin also survived several confrontations with Dooku's powerful Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress and defeated her during their first encounter on Yavin IV. However during their first duel, it was quite possible that Ventress would have defeated him if he hadn't given in to his rage.
When Anakin faced Dooku again on Tatooine, the Count noted that his lightsaber skills had improved over the year since they had duelled on Geonosis, and this time Anakin managed to fight the Sith Lord as an equal, a feat that few Jedi could match. During a brief period of anger, when Dooku taunted him about the danger Ahsoka was in, Anakin managed to kick Dooku down the sand dune. However he abandoned the duel in order to rescue his Padawan.
Force powers
Edit
Anakin Skywalker possessed the highest known midi-chlorian count in history and therefore possessed a tremendous connection to the Force. He and was capable of a very powerful Force Push and Force Wave and was skilled at Telekinesis able to hurl large objects at his opponents. Anakin was also skilled at Jedi Mind Tricks and was able to leap enormous distances. However Skywalker was also known to use the dark side power Force Choke at times even while he was a Jedi.
Anakin also had some skill in Animal Friendship which he used to calm the Reek that was present during the battle of Geonosis, allowing him to ride it. He may have also used it to tame the Can-cell that he and Ahsoka rode on Teth.
Other abilities
Edit
Anakin was also an incredible pilot, the best in the Jedi Order. In addition he was excellent at building machines from a young age and built C-3PO from spare parts. He could fix almost anything mechanical.
