Ambrose
Always count your eggs before they hatch. Otherwise, you might get tricked into raising someone else's chick.
—Ambrose Ius, writing down his impressions of parenthood

Ambrose Ius was a male Duinuogwuin born on the Duinuogwuin homeworld in 891 BBY to Rodney Ius and Maria Magintosh. When just one year old, he was sent off his homeworld in a hyperspace capsule which landed on Coruscant, where he was taken to the Jedi Temple by Fit Karkuna for Jedi training. From 890 to 880 BBY he was part of the Gundark Clan. He was taken as Padawan by Jedi Master Ipitee Dafoo in 879 BBY. He received training in mathematics and radio operation.

In space combat, Ambrose wore Invismasque armor and a battle harness on his shoulders with two attached shoulder cannons. In melee combat, he favored either a double-bladed lightsaber or an electropole.

Ambrose owned a plethora of unusual items, including:

In 878, Ambrose, Yoda, and their Masters traveled to Tatooine with Luna Estrella. There they slew Darth Pennek. Later that year, Ambrose, Yoda, Zorith and their Masters were sent to Kuat to investigate the murder of Kuat of Kuat and the disappearance of his children. They determined the culprits to be a Hutt kajidic working for Senator Puat of Kuat. They saved the children.

In 845 BBY, Ambrose adopted the orphan Duinuogwuin girl Diana Ius. He found single parenthood challenging but rewarding.

In 841, Ambrose, Yoda, and Zorith smuggled King Skrymaul off Toydaria, saving him from the assassins of a local fascist regime attempting to take over the planet.

The following year, Ambrose attended a Judiciary Training Refreshment Exercise, where he met Aryana Loit. The two fell in love and were wed by Yoda. During the marriage ceremony, Yoda had a vision of the couple's future children.

In 835 BBY, Aryana produced a clutch of six eggs, which the next year hatched out Wilmina Ius, Bessina Ius, Kristopher Ius, Gimerhead Ius, Jill Ius, and Maher-Shalhal-Hazbaz Ius.

In 833 BBY, Ambrose, Yoda, and Zorith led a Judicial Department taskforce to defeat Warlord Randiharris in the Expansion Region.

In 830 BBY, Ambrose's wife and children were kidnapped and brainwashed by Yodatine. The Jedi managed to rescue the family on Cuzterthd. While on the planet, Ambrose discovered and adopted the orphaned human boy Misterthax Tonskid.

The following year, Ambrose honed his skills on Jedi Boot Camp.

In 799 BBY, Ambrose, Yoda, Zorith, and Yiba destroyed one of Yodatine's deep-space stations.

Two years later, Ambrose, Yoda, and Zorith toppled the Bloodbringer terrorists on Sriluur, preventing the destruction of the Al-Campur Monastery

In 795 BBY, Ambrose, Yoda, and Zorith traveled to the Papier-mâché Planet for a vacation.

Two years later, Ambrose, Zorith, and Yoda attempted to prevent Darth Utini's cyborged tooke army from taking over Malastare. While successful, they accidentally incited a Dug revolt versus the Gran Protectorate.

In 787 BBY, Ambrose took a felinoid named Merle as his Padawan.

In 784 BBY, Yodatine turned Gimerhead Ius to the Dark Side. Gimerhead tried to kill Ambrose, but failed, instead dying himself at the hands of Aryana. The catastrophe traumatized Ambrose and Aryana, yet their marriage remained strong.

Two years later, Ambrose, Zorith, Yoda, Zudu, and Veronica overthrew the G'ye Cult of Apoltemis.

In 781 BBY, Ambrose was part of the team that infiltrated the Supreme Chancellor's skyhook during the Tabponian Raid on Coruscant. Sadly, Ambrose witnessed the death of his Padawan Merle at the hands of Darth Sarait, apprentice of Yodatine. However, Ambrose and Zorith managed to slay Sarait in return. The following year, Ambrose helped repair the damaged Jedi Temple, hiring the 3 Holy Men of Why as architectural consultants.

In 769 BBY, Ambrose and Aryana rediscovered their homeworld. They met Ambrose's parents, who swore them to keep the planet's location and name secret.

Ambrose and Zorith managed to survive the initiation of Order 66 in 19 BBY, but they believed Yoda had been slain. The two joined the Rebel Alliance, but in 2 BBY were shot down by turbolasers while attacking Wilhuff Tarkin's station over Omwat. Ambrose died as he had lived: a hero.

Ambrose's most infamous decision was to try to disarm a thermal detonator by shoving it up his nose, under the mistaken belief his nostrils, being flame-proof, could withstands its explosion. He was severely injured.
