Allya was a female Jedi Knight who was later banished to Dathomir from the Jedi Order. She took a number of her followers with her, and together they formed a friendship with the settlers on Dathomir. Allya taught the settlers the ways of the Force, and later she instructed her own children in the ways of the Force. Allya was later credited with transforming the settler society into one led by women who held the men as their slaves. This group of Force users, dominated by women, became known as the Witches of Dathomir, and their story became a legend used to frighten children around a fire.[1]
