Alderaan was a planet in the Core Worlds. The planetary government was a democratic monarchy, with a legislature and a royal family. During the Mandalorian Wars and the decades afterwards, the planetary monarch was King Leto Antilles, the maternal grandfather of Ussej Padric Bac, the Shaman of the Whills. During the final days of the Galactic Republic and the early days of the Galactic Empire, the monarch was Queen Breha Antilles-Organa, with her husband Bail Prestor Organa as Senator and daughter Leia Organa as Princess.
