Ace Talon, born Alec Talona to Bino and Miri Talona around 120 ABY, was a male soldier and pirate from the time of the Sith-Imperial Wars.

During the Sith-Imperial Wars, Ace Talon enlisted as a soldier and fought alongside the Cole Traen and the Nagai Edward "Seargent" Teach. After the war, Ace and his fellow soldiers became bounty hunters in the employ of the Twi'lek gangster Jakhel Novak on Corusant. It was here that Ace Talon first met the Sith Lady Mira under the guise of a Jedi Knight. After Novak's base was raided by the Imperials, Ace, Cole, "Seargent", and Mira escaped to Ossus. They were then tasked by the Jedi Council with finding Mira's brother on the planet Cerea. After arriving on Cerea they quickly tracked Mira's brother Daxus to a citadel outside the capitol city. In the assault, he was captured by two of the citadel's sadistic officials, mutilated, and later abandoned in a garbage heap. Not long after, he was found by pirates who pieced him back together with cybernetic parts. To repay his debt to the pirates, he became one of the crew on their ship - the Queen Ann's Revenge.

After emerging from seven years in a bacta tank, Ace Talon suffered severe amnesia. After a long period of recovery, he discovered that the captain of the Queen Ann's Revenge was none other than his old Sergeant from the Sith Wars - now the Dread Pirate Edward Teach. From the beginning, Capt. Teach harbored a deep disgust for Talon and there was constantly friction between them. Talon also discovered how the Jedi Mira had left him to die on Cerea and he sought her destruction.
