You hear that? Oh no, they're back!
—Unfortunate Rebel

The AT-AT-B was the second generation of AT-AT walkers. After seeing the need for cable cutters and improved firepower and range, the B-variant was released, with the first being offered to Aurelius Tempest as a reward for victory in the Battle of Hoth.

An AT-AT-B carried twice as many MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannons than conventional AT-ATs. Two TIE fighters could be carried on top of the AT-AT-B for side attack missions or reconnaissance.
