The ASE Navy, more formally known as the Imperial Navy of the Acrolian Star Empire, was a major branch of the Acrolian Star Empire's military, comprised of the Empire's space fleets and the well-trained National Guard Marine Commando Unit. The ASE Navy was led by a Grand Admiral, who was given orders directly from the Emperor himself. During the Clone Wars and particularly during the Second Galactic Civil War, the force earned a fearsome reputation.
The ASE Navy was formed soon after the formation of the Acrolian Star Empire as the main space combat branch of the Empire. Though it was not the only space force, sharing space with the Acrolian Border Guard and the ASDF, it was the most suited for spatial total war. The fleets of the ASE Navy were filled with modified Vengeance-class frigates, Keldabe-class battleships, Aggressor-class Star Destroyers, and Crusader-class gunships, all of which were suited for space warfare.
